Acceptable Use Policy

Last Updated: September 1, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the phone numbers and verification services provided by Actibuzz ("we," "us," or "our"). It forms part of our Terms of Service.

By ordering a number from Actibuzz you agree to this policy. Violating it is grounds for immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.

1. What Our Service Is For

Actibuzz provides temporary phone numbers for receiving one-time verification codes (OTPs) during account registration and sign-in on third-party platforms. The intended use is straightforward: a person needs a number to receive a verification code for an account they are creating or accessing, and orders one number to do it.

2. Prohibited Uses — Fraud and Abuse

You may not use Actibuzz numbers, our website, or our API for any of the following. This list is not exhaustive; it describes the categories of conduct we prohibit.

  • Fraud and financial crime. Identity theft, impersonating another person or business, payment fraud, chargeback abuse, money laundering, advance-fee or romance scams, phishing, or any attempt to obtain money, credentials, or personal data by deception.
  • Unauthorised account access. Registering for, verifying, recovering, or taking over any account that you are not entitled to create or control, including intercepting verification codes intended for another person.
  • Bulk and automated account creation. Mass registration of accounts on any platform, operating account farms, or creating accounts for resale. Numbers are supplied for individual verifications, not for scripted enumeration.
  • Circumventing platform enforcement. Using our numbers to evade a ban, suspension, rate limit, or other enforcement action taken against you by a third-party platform.
  • Spam and unsolicited messaging. Using a number to send or facilitate unsolicited bulk messages, or to register accounts whose purpose is to do so.
  • Abuse of promotions. Creating multiple accounts to claim sign-up bonuses, referral rewards, free trials, or promotional credits more than once, whether on our platform or a third party's.
  • Harassment and illegal content. Any use connected with harassment, stalking, threats, child sexual abuse material, terrorism, trafficking, or the sale of illegal goods or services.
  • Anything unlawful. Any use that violates applicable law, or the terms of service of the platform you are verifying against.

3. How Numbers May Be Used

  • Numbers are temporary and shared. You do not own a number, and it may be reissued to another customer after your activation window closes.
  • A number is supplied for a single verification on a single service. Do not resell, sublicense, or redistribute numbers issued to you.
  • Do not use a number as a durable contact number, for account recovery you expect to rely on later, or for anything requiring continued access to that number. Once the activation window ends, access ends.
  • Do not attempt to receive voice calls, premium-rate traffic, or any content other than the verification message you ordered.

4. API and Automation

Our API exists so that legitimate, individually-initiated orders can be placed programmatically. When using it you must:

  • Keep your API key confidential and rotate it if you believe it has been exposed.
  • Respect published rate limits and avoid request patterns that degrade the service for others.
  • Cancel numbers you no longer need rather than holding them for the full activation window, so they return to the pool.
  • Not resell access to our API, or expose it to third parties, as your own service without a written agreement with us.

5. Upstream Providers and Cooperation

Actibuzz sources numbers from third-party network providers. Their own acceptable use rules apply to traffic carried on their networks, and conduct that violates this policy will usually violate theirs as well.

Where we receive a credible report of abuse from an upstream provider, a platform operator, or a law enforcement authority, we will investigate, and we will cooperate with lawful requests. We may share order records relevant to a specific investigation as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Enforcement

We monitor for abuse and act on reports. Depending on the severity and history, we may take any of the following steps, with or without prior notice:

  • Issue a warning and require corrective action.
  • Restrict access to specific services, countries, or the API.
  • Cancel in-flight orders and suspend ordering.
  • Terminate the account. Where termination follows a violation of this policy, remaining balance is forfeit and no refund is due.
  • Report the matter to the relevant platform, provider, or authority.

7. Reporting Abuse

If you believe an Actibuzz number has been used against you or in breach of this policy, contact us at the address below. Please include the phone number, the platform involved, and the approximate date and time. Reports from platform operators and upstream providers are prioritised.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The revised version takes effect once published on this page, and the "Last Updated" date above will change. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of it.
